Integrations

Integrations wire Downlink into the rest of your business โ€” a live calendar feed of your flights, outbound webhooks that fan out to thousands of apps, and Stripe so clients can pay you by card. Everything here is set up per business: if you run more than one, each keeps its own feed, its own webhooks, and its own payout account.

Where to find it #

Sidebar โ†’ Integrations

The page stacks each connection as its own card, with a status badge โ€” live, connected, needs endpoint โ€” so you can see at a glance what's switched on and what still needs a key or a plan.

Integrations โ€” calendar feeds, webhooks, and Stripe Connect for payouts.

Calendar feed #

Every scheduled flight for the business in focus, published as a subscribe-only calendar link that refreshes on its own โ€” no more copying jobs into Google Calendar by hand.

  1. Copy your feed URL โ€” on the Calendar feed card, press Copy URL.
  2. Subscribe in your calendar โ€” in Google Calendar choose Add โ†’ From URL; in Apple Calendar choose New Subscription. Paste and confirm.
  3. Leave it running โ€” new and changed flights appear automatically. There's nothing to re-export.
๐Ÿ”’ Treat the link as private

Anyone holding the feed URL can see your whole flight schedule. Only share it with your own team, and regenerate it if it ever leaks.

Webhooks Max #

Fire a signed POST to any URL the moment something happens in Downlink โ€” perfect for a Zapier Catch Hook or a Make Custom Webhook, which then fan out to QuickBooks, Slack, Sheets and the rest. Webhooks are a Max-plan feature.

  1. Paste the endpoint โ€” in Endpoint URL, drop the catch-hook address (e.g. https://hooks.zapier.com/hooks/catch/โ€ฆ).
  2. Pick your events โ€” toggle any of New lead captured, Job status changed, Quote accepted, Invoice paid and Delivery published. All are on by default.
  3. Add a signing secret โ€” optional but recommended; Downlink sends it back so the receiver can verify the payload is really from you.
  4. Add endpoint โ€” press Add endpoint. Use pause / resume to mute a hook temporarily, or ร— to remove it.
๐Ÿ“ฎ What each request carries

Every delivery includes an X-Downlink-Event header naming the event, plus X-Downlink-Secret when you've set a signing secret. The Recent deliveries list on the card shows the last few sends so you can confirm a hook is firing.

Stripe payments #

Connect your own Stripe account to collect card payments on quotes and invoices and on pay-to-unlock deliveries. Money lands in your Stripe balance, and paid invoices and unlocked deliveries update themselves.

  1. Connect Stripe โ€” press Connect Stripe and complete Stripe's onboarding. Come back and the badge flips to connected.
  2. Finish if prompted โ€” if onboarding was interrupted the button reads Finish Stripe setup; pick up where you left off.
  3. Start charging โ€” once connected, card buttons appear automatically on your quotes, invoices and delivery pages.
โ„น๏ธ “Platform setup needed”

If the badge shows platform setup needed, the Downlink platform Stripe key isn't configured yet on your deployment โ€” card payments light up as soon as it is. Nothing you can fix from this card.

โœ… Worked example โ€” Skyward Aerial Co. wires up its stack

How owner Riley Chen connects the demo business so quotes get paid and Zapier logs every win:

Other connections #

The same page hosts a few credential-gated services that switch on once configured:

  • Messaging (SMS) Pro โ€” two-way texting and missed-call text-back from your own number; manage the number and credits on the billing page.
  • Zapier / Make โ€” any webhook above drops straight into a catch hook; from there reach 9,000+ apps.
  • DroneDeploy โ€” the file bridge (GeoTIFF/OBJ/LAS ingest) works on every plan today; the Enterprise GraphQL sync activates when you add an Enterprise API key.
  • WebODM / OpenDroneMap โ€” point Downlink at your NodeODM endpoint to submit datasets and pull processing status into the pipeline tracker.
  • Transactional email โ€” expiry reminders and client notifications send from your address once an email provider is configured.
๐Ÿ’ก Automate the boring bits first

The quickest win is an Invoice paid webhook into a Zap that files the receipt in QuickBooks โ€” pair it with Stripe above and getting paid becomes hands-off. See Quotes & invoices for the payment side.
